01.31.10 - Snow angel

After our afternoon nap, we bundled up and went outside to play in the snow. And we were excited, too, because Nan had gotten this snow suit for Maddie and we were afraid we wouldn't be able to use it. We didn't use it long, however, as she just sat there. I'm hopeful that next winter she'll be walking and running enough to really enjoy it. Nan, be on the lookout for a larger snow suit!

01.24.10 - Fun with Grampy

Maddie surprised Gramma Karen and Grampy Keith with breakfast on Sunday to celebrate their January birthdays. It was just warm enough to enjoy a few moments outside after we ate!

We're still waiting, hoping to soon have another January birthday to celebrate.

01.21.10 - Picture day!

Tonight we used a gift certificate we got for Christmas to have Maddie's one year photos taken. We're glad it finally happened. We had it scheduled three times but because Maddie bonked her forehead followed by an ear infection we had to reschedule twice. Then the nasty winter weather that came through wreaked havoc on the studio. We had a good time and look forward to seeing the photos.

01.18.10 - Ball popper!

Maddie loves to play with the ball popper that friends Kent and Amy got her for her birthday. This musical toy shoots up to five balls out of the top. They fall into the tray, wind their way through and shoot back out over and over. Mostly she likes to stand over the forced air coming out. She thinks it's the best thing ever! Thanks, Kent and Amy!

01.16.10 - No means no

I'm sorry, Maddie, but no means no especially when it comes to eating Harley's food!

01.15.10 - Got Milk?

With Dr. Green's approval, we began transitioning Maddie from formula to whole milk this week. We've been mixing it in with her bottles but tonight decided to put some in her sippy cup. We're not sure how much of it she actually drank but at least she didn't turn it down.

01.13.10 - Cookin' up a storm

Maddie fries up an egg for dinner while I prepare turkey tetrazzini for dinner tonight. She loves her Elmo kitchen toys but that doesn't stop her from pulling various items out of our lazy susan.

01.06.10 - In the bag

A baby shower was thrown for us after work tonight and we raked in some good stuff for Maddie's little brother. She enjoyed pulling all of it out of the bags as soon as we got home. Poor girl. With half a dozen Christmases and her birthday and her new baby brother, she's gonna think she gets prizes all the time!

01.04.10 - When the boss is away ...

Maddie plays with Angie's boss, Lisa, while making a brief appearance at the medical school following an appointment today with Dr. Green. You'd never know by this photo that Maddie is suffering from an ear infection. You would know it by looking at her now, however, as it's well past her bedtime and she's not interested in going to sleep!

01.01.10 - Happy New Year!

Even though she's feeling puny, Maddie can still climb ... all the way into her shopping cart that Grandpa Greg got her for her birthday. Hey, why not?!! She rides in the carts at Target all the time!
