06.30.09 - No, Mom. Let Dad do it.

Tonight, for her bedtime snack, Maddie refused her Mommy and instead went for a bottle. Could it be that she's weaning herself?

06.29.09 - What's up with this bottle?

06.28.09 - New toys

I spent a good part of the day chopping firewood so Angie entertained Maddie with some new toys.

06.27.09 - I heart Nanny and Papa

Nan and Pop joined us for dinner and dominoes tonight. Maddie sure does love her Nanny but next time she wants to sit on Pop's lap, too!

06.26.09 - Stinkin' cute girl

A photo may be worth a thousand words but this is one of those pictures that leaves me speechless.

06.25.09 - Don't eat more chicken

Or, don't eat chicken at all, which Maddie didn't at dinner tonight. Dr. Green cleared us to advance to more complex solids including meats. We were all excited about it but Maddie, not so much!

06.24.09 - Happy half birthday!

Today, Maddie is six months old. She is sleeping through the night, eating solid foods and sitting up. In other news, Harley can still do "prairie dog" but it sure is cuter with a sister.

06.23.09 - Here's lookin' at you, kid

Today, the doctor said Maddie was "perfect" during her six-month check. Later, Chad asked if he and Liz could clone her. Maddie girl, you're such a great baby!

Our friends Chad and Liz are visiting tonight before catching a flight back to Florida tomorrow. Maddie likes visitors and Chad loves a cute photo opp!

06.21.09 - All mine

Nan sure has stocked up on garage sale toys for Maddie to play with at her house. She loves them all!

06.20.09 - Tag, you're it!

Gramma Karen has this thing for tags. She hates 'em! And she'll cut 'em off everything and she's given us a bit of grief for not taking the tags off of some of Maddie's bibs and toys. Well, today and for the past few days, she's been enamored with the tags on everything! So there, Gramma Karen!

06.19.09 - Bunco Babes and Bunco Babies

Maddie went with Angie to her monthly Bunco group tonight and she posed for a photo with some of the other Bunco Babes including Nichole, Erin and Krissy. The other Bunco Babies are Matthew and Hank (he's the pug).

If Maddie looks uncomfortable, it's because she's objecting to Matthew's bib.

06.18.09 - Are you kidding me?

Angie, after being gone for two days:"Really? We're going to watch baseball?!!"

Maddie: "Yeah, baseball!"

06.17.09 - Baby sittin'

Maddie baby sits Cousin Emerson at day care today. I really do hope they grow up to be best friends.

06.16.09 - Hey, Mommy!

06.15.09 - Toys

Maddie has an hour between dinner and bedtime to play with some of her toys. We recently bought her some stackable rings, which she likes to play with except for when, of course, I'm trying to take a photo of her playing with them!

06.14.09 - Strollin'

Maddie really enjoyed her walk tonight. For the first time, she got to sit up in her stroller instead of riding in her car seat. Same result, though ... she was asleep when we got home.

06.13.09 - Maddie Blue Eyes

We went to Nan and Pop's to have dinner and play dominoes tonight. Maddie went right to Nan and soon as we got there. Nan's chair sits right next to a window that lets in a ton of nice light that really make Maddie's eyes pop!

06.10.09 - Sitting up like a big girl

I went shopping tonight. On my way home, Angie called to ask where I was at. "Maddie's sitting up on her own! You gotta get home to see this!"

06.09.09 - Workin' on a job

Maddie - how shall I say it? - has had trouble pooping lately so tonight she got a dose of Pedia-Lax. It worked ... in two minutes!

06.08.09 - Picnic

Angie decided we should have a picnic in the backyard after work tonight. So we did.

06.07.09 - Spoons

Maddie is chowing right through Gerber's First Foods but today she was more interested in spoonful of empty rather than a spoonful of peaches.

06.06.09 - Pool party!

It's a hot day so that means it's perfect weather for a pool party! Who's in?

06.05.09 - Bottom's up!

Maddie is becoming quite efficient at breakfast time. Lately, she even tries to hold her own bottle.

06.04.09 - Um, Dad?

Mom wants to know if we're trying to watch another baseball game.

Why, yes. Yes we are!

06.03.09 - Everybody poops except when they don't because sometimes they won't

Prunes for dinner. You know what that means. We hope Maddie feels better soon!

06.02.09 - When Mommy's away ...

... baby will play! Maddie did some tummy time while Angie made a Target run. Unfortunately, tummy time lasted about eight minutes.

06.01.09 - Strollin'

Tonight for our walk I strapped the fisheye lens to my back. Considering Harley and I are always a few steps ahead of Angie and Maddie, I thought I might be able to make a dramatic photo with the evening sky. It's not exactly what I'd envisioned but it's certainly different than most of the photos we've had on the blog so far. One day we'll be able to look back and remember our neighborhood and the route we used to walk.
